Florida State is the first team to clinch a trip to Omaha and the College World Series.

FSU is back for the first time since 2019 after sweeping UConn in the NCAA super regionals. The Seminoles had a record day in Game 1, winning 24-4 and belting five home runs. They hit six in Game 2, including three by ACC Player of the Year James Tibbs III, for a 10-8 win in 12 innings.

Now all that’s left is to wait for their opponents. FSU will face the winner of the Tennessee-Evansville super regional first in the College World Series. Their side of the bracket also includes the winner of Virginia-Kansas State and North Carolina-West Virginia.

The College World Series features eight teams split into two groups of four. The four teams play a double-elimination tournament, and the winner from both groups advance to the CWS championship series, a best-of-3 format to decide the national champion.
