Fun and Fitness Day for Magic Monday at MCM
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – The Mississippi Children’s Museum of Meridian is continuing their Magic Monday throughout the summer while school is out.
Children who were at MCM on Monday, July 15 were active for Fun and Fitness day.
They were able to create a marble run maze, yoga and water activities.
Assistant director of programs Melinda Goff says not only did they learn how to stay fit physically, but also how to do so mentally by exercising their minds.
“Today, is our Fun and Fitness Magic Monday,” said Goff. “It’s all about having fun while trying to be fit. We’re trying to teach the children through exercise and all about making exercise fun. And letting them know that not only do we need to exercise our body, but we also need to exercise our mind.”
Next week’s Magic Monday will be all about Christmas in July with a special guest: Santa Claus!
