Funko, a beloved toy company, has opened its doors in Buckeye after a much-anticipated wait.

Over two years ago, the Washington-based pop culture toymaker announced that it would be moving its distribution operations to Buckeye, bringing 300 jobs to the city.

At the time, the warehouse was touted as one of the initiatives to bring more jobs to the city.

While the warehouse is still operational, Funko now has an outlet retail store open at the same location, which was also announced in 2022.

The “last chance” store is located at the warehouse, which is located at 2600 S. Miller Road. The area is located right next to the Five Below Warehouse and Distribution Center, which also has a retail store built into it.

Funko is known for its figurines and bobbleheads, which are licensed and pop-culture related. Funko also sells things like apparel, action figures and games.

For example, some new releases on the Funko website include various Marvel-related figures and figures from films like Moana 2 and Wicked.

However, the company produces products from dozens of franchises and lines, such as Star Wars, as well as public figures and celebrities, leading to collectors. Some discontinued products can be found on sites like eBay for thousands of dollars.

The “last chance” store will give collectors an opportunity to purchase collectibles before they hit the triple-digit range. The store will be open Thursdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
