Gambler takes home $1M jackpot from Southwest Michigan casino

NEW BUFFALO, MI — A gambler took home a $1,008,222 progressive jackpot from Four Winds New Buffalo Casino, 1111 Wilson Road, on May 17.

The lucky gambler from Harvey Illinois, who chose to remain anonymous, won on a $15 bet while playing the UFL Explosion slot Machine, the casino said.

More than $4.2 million in significant jackpots have been won at Four Winds Casinos in Hartford, New Buffalo, Dowagiac and South Bend, as well as its online casino since the beginning of March 2024.

A guest from Schiller Park, Illinois won a $80,874.92 jackpot on May 19, playing a Shamrock Fortune slot machine at Four Winds New Buffalo on an 80 cent bet. In April, another anonymous guest from Schaumburg, Illinois, won a $536,614.25 progressive jackpot on April 28 while playing a Dollar Storm Wild Ninja slot machine.

The winning games have now been “reset” to allow others a chance at winning, the casino said. Four Winds New Buffalo features 40 table games and 1,900 slot machines.
