The U.S. played yesterday and registered a hard-fought 5-1 victory, aided by two goals from Danny Nelson. It was Team USA’s second win in as many tries in the World Juniors, including its tournament-opening, 10-4, triumph over Germany on Thursday (Dec. 26)

Finland last played on Friday (Dec. 27) and earned a 3-1 win over Germany. The Finns opened the tournament on Thursday (Dec. 26) against Canada and came up on the short end of a 4-0 decision.

The U.S. and Finland will meet for the 39th time in the World Juniors with Team USA having a slight 16-3-18-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L) advantage.
