National Anthem: Jake Cowley
Jake Cowley is a 27-year old gifted gospel artist who has been singing since he was two years old. His love of music is rooted in soulful gospel music which he has enjoyed singing all his life in church. He released his first 13-song gospel solo CD in 2015. Jake released his second project, a secular EP project, “A Song for You” in January, 2018
Champions Square Entertainment: Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band
Established in 1989, Louisiana natives Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band are a Grammy Award winning band. Chubby is the third generation Zydeco artist to come out of the Carrier family. He played his first gig on the drums with his daddy’s band at the age of ten years old. In 1989, he started his own band, that tours the United States, Canada and Europe.
Halftime Entertainment: Jahri Evans Saints Ring of Honor induction
Former New Orleans Saints Guard Jahri Evans will be inducted into the club’s Ring of Honor on Sunday, November 17, during an on-field halftime ceremony of the team’s contest against the Cleveland Browns. Saints Owner Gayle Benson and a significant number of Evans’ former teammates, who are participating in the team’s annual ‘Legends Weekend’, will be present for the induction.
Saints Legend of the Game: Jahri Evans
This Pro Football Hall of Famer (Class of 2012) returns to New Orleans to be honored by the team and fans and to see a fellow offensive lineman, Jahri Evans, join him in the team’s Ring of Honor. One of the most accomplished tackles in NFL history, Roaf was the anchor of the Saints offensive line for nine seasons, named to the Pro Bowl seven consecutive times and as a four-time All-Pro.
