GameStop is converting some locations to retro game stores, including 3 in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Missing the old days? GameStop is travelling back in time with location overhauls that stock retro games instead of new ones.

GameStop has been struggling to keep up with the evolving video game market as it becomes more digital and less physical, so it’s trying a new approach.

GameStop announced in an X post that it would be converting select locations to “GameStop Retro.”

The overhauled locations will offer old consoles, discs, cartridges, and accessories dating all the way back to the original Nintendo Entertainment System from 1985.

Six locations around Cincinnati will be converted into GameStop Retro locations, including 3 with Cincinnati addresses:

  • Western Hills Plaza @ 6180 Glenway Ave Suite 820, Cincinnati, OH, 45211
  • Colerain Towne Center @ 10228 Colerain Ave, Cincinnati, OH, 45251
  • Eastgate Square @ 4394 Eastgate Square Dr Suite 1055, Cincinnati, OH, 45245
  • Florence Square @ 7723 Mall Rd, Florence, KY, 41042
  • Voice of America Centre @ 7680 Voice of America Centre Dr, West Chester, OH, 45069
  • Shops at Middletown @ 2920 Towne Blvd, Middletown, OH, 45044

You can find more information on the GameStop website, and a retro overhaul location finder can be found here.
