Geodis Park to host three games during FIFA Club World Cup, including Neymar’s team

Geodis Park, the home stadium of Nashville SC, will host three games during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

Geodis will host a Group D match between León and ES Tunis on June 20 (5 p.m. CT); a Group C match between Auckland City and Boca Juniors on June 24 (2 p.m. CT); and a Group H match between Al Hilal and Pachuca on June 26 (8 p.m.).

Al Hilal, the reigning champion of Saudi Arabia’s Pro League, features Brazilian star forward Neymar, widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time.

“Since we started even thinking about a soccer stadium for Nashville, it was always in our minds that the venue should be capable of hosting world class events,” Nashville SC CEO Ian Ayre said in a news release. “GEODIS Park welcoming the FIFA Club World Cup is a huge step forward and a true recognition of how far Nashville has come in the world of soccer. We look forward to welcoming the teams playing in Music City at our stadium and to showing them some Nashville SC Southern hospitality.”

The 2025 Club World Cup, the first to be played as a 32-team format, is scheduled to run from June 15 to July 13 and will include champions from FIFA’s continental competitions. From 2005 to 2023, the Club World Cup was a seven-team tournament consisting of continental champions from FIFA’s six confederations as well as the champion of the host nation’s top league.

Geodis was announced as a venue earlier this fall along with MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, New Jersey); Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta); Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte, North Carolina); TQL Stadium (Cincinnati); Rose Bowl Stadium (Los Angeles); Hard Rock Stadium (Miami); Camping World Stadium and Inter&Co Stadium (both in Orlando); Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia); Lumen Field (Seattle); and Audi Field (Washington, D.C.).

Notable teams participating in the Club World Cup include Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Juventus, as well as Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, which was awarded a berth in the tournament for winning the 2024 MLS Supporters’ Shield.

In addition to Neymar, Al Hilal features well-known players such as defender Kalidou Koulibaly and striker Aleksandar Mitrović. The club’s match with Pachuca is the last of three group-stage matches and should be pivotal in determining which two teams advance from a group that also includes Real Madrid and Red Bull Salzburg.

Boca Juniors is one of the most prominent clubs in Argentina and reached the final of the Copa Argentina last season.

León and Pachuca, which both play in Mexico’s Liga MX, are the past two champions of the CONCACAF Champions Cup (formerly CONCACAF Champions League). ES Tunis, based in Tunisia, won the country’s Ligue 1 last season.
