Georgia Halloween shop shares love of Halloween 365 days of the year

Calhoun, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – There is a place in Georgia where the love of Halloween is a year-round celebration.

In the summer months, you might be thinking of sandy beaches and sunshine. But customers of AllStar Halloween in Calhoun are shopping for something more creepy.

“Halloween people are a tight group of people. Only reason we started this is because when I was little trick or treating and grew up just loving Halloween. I am 52 and it has carried me through all this time,” said Scott Lunsford, with AllStar Halloween.

The store is open year-round and customers can’t seem to get enough of it. The 7,000-square-foot shop is packed to the brim with costumes, custom pieces, accessories, home decor, and the most popular room of all — animatronics.

“This is all of our animatronics, so when people come in they can actually step on the footpads and see what all the animatronics do,” said Lunsford.

AllStar has been in business for the past seven years. All ages are welcome.

“When people come in here, I think they are shocked. They are surprised and if you are a true Halloween lover I think you’re tickled to death to be here,” said Lunsford. “It is a shopping experience. It is a show. It is fun.”
