Global Fashion Agenda appoints Lennart Bernhoft as COO
4 November 2024: Global Fashion Agenda, the established non-profit organisation that fosters industry collaboration to accelerate impact, has appointed Lennart Bernhoft as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Working in close partnership with GFA CEO, Federica Marchionni, the Leadership Team, and the Board, Lennart Bernhoft will play a key role in shaping the organisation’s operational efficiency and supporting its strategic direction as it advances towards its vision of a net positive industry.
As COO, Lennart Bernhoft will work with the team to build on the organisation’s solid 15-year foundation of convening the fashion industry to drive action on sustainability. His responsibilities will span across multiple areas including financial operations, strategy execution, corporate governance and programme management. In addition, he will oversee the operations of the renowned forum for sustainability in fashion, Global Fashion Summit, in Copenhagen and other key locations around the world.
Lennart Bernhoft brings over 20 years of experience as a supply chain and operations executive in the consumer goods and apparel industries. His most recent leadership roles include Head of Operations at Theis Vine, COO & Co-Founder of Projectkin, COO of Design Letters and CEO of Mads Nørgaard – Copenhagen. Lennart Bernhoft possesses a deep understanding of global fashion trends and consumer behaviour, backed by seven years of living and working in China, India, and Southeast Asia where he focused on developing sustainable supply chains for companies including IC Group. Additionally, he served as Sourcing Director for VF Corporation in Belgium. Such practical experience has equipped him with a robust understanding of the complexities of sustainable fashion and its associated barriers, enabling him to identify effective implementation projects to overcome them.
