Global Travel Collection has grand plans for Nicer’s technology

Global Travel Collection has made a step toward the rollout of host agency Nicer’s technology platform with the forging of closer ties between Nicer and In the Know Experiences.

Nicer and In the Know Experiences are part of Global Travel Collection, Internova Travel Group’s luxury division.

Nicer CEO Ragan Stone has been named senior vice president of In the Know Experiences, leading the integration of Nicer’s technology into In the Know. Just a few months ago, Nicer and In the Know Experiences formed a joint venture

Maggie Stein, In the Know Experiences’ vice president of advisor success, is also a key player in the integration project. Once that project is completed, likely in the first quarter, Global Travel Collection will start to deploy Nicer’s platform to other GTC agencies expressing interest.

The Nicer platform has AI features and was designed to increase efficiencies in advisors’ workflow.

Global Travel Collection CEO Angie Licea wants to make Nicer’s platform available to the “progressive advisor.” A progressive advisor, she said, is not about age. “It’s about a mindset,” she said.

Licea said progressive advisors are looking for a “cohesive, end-to-end selling environment that allows them to bring the expertise of their travel experiences to the forefront.”

Licea said GTC is “very excited for Ragan to be on my team.” Licea noted that Stone has “built a business, being an entrepreneur, and is now a part of our world. We have tremendous opportunity moving forward.”

While traditional advisors make up the majority of the workforce and Global Travel Collection is committed to supporting them, tech-savvy entrants will be the future of the agency community, Licea said.

Licea said Nicer’s technology “allows us to really focus in a dual capacity on that traditional advisor, keeping that vibrant part of the business alive, but now investing in what becomes the future of travel across all the industry.”

Licea said Nicer will not be a requirement but an option for GTC advisors.
