Original Article, January 5:
Jacobs Entertainment will take over ownership of Reno’s Gold ‘N Silver Inn on May 1st.
And according to its owner, Jeff Paine, Jacobs will continue to run the longtime restaurant as is with “plans for future expansion and remodeling.”
Paine announced the update in a Facebook post on Thursday.
Paine also says that employees can continue to work, and that Jacobs will maintain the current menu, with changes made “slowly over time.”
Paine ends, “I have had a wonderful 35 years being the owner / operator of Reno’s oldest restaurant. I can’t being to tell you how many people I have met, and how much I have come to appreciate them as well as appreciating our fantastic employees.”
Jacobs Entertainment initially bought The Gold ‘N Silver Inn in early 2022.
With that purchase, Jacobs became owners of all the property in Reno’s Neon Line south of West 4th Street between Keystone Avenue and West Street.
