Goldwin Launches Go-Anwhere Travel Equipment Collection
Goldwin may be best known for highly technical gear made to combat the world’s toughest conditions and its use of advanced materials like Spiber’s Brewed Protein fiber, but now the Japanese outerwear juggernaut has ventured into an uncharted realm (for its products, at least): travel equipment. The brand just announced a four-piece travel collection that combines high-functionality design with considered storage solutions, all wrapped up in a signature minimalist package.
Items include a backpack, laptop holder, travel organizer and document case. The backpack offers a 20L storage capacity, meaning room for laptops up to 15 inches and plenty of other items, with details including a line inspired by Goldwin’s original “ski trace” line and a dedicated sleeve at the bottom of its back panel so the shoulder straps can be stored when not in use. The stand-alone laptop holder is designed to fit in the back compartment of the backpack, and offers its own set of small storage pockets, plus a handle that enables it to be used on its own as well. Meanwhile, the travel organizer offers an opportunity to keep all travel documents (passports, tickets etc) neatly stored and the document case is meant to house documents and notebooks, with a separate pocket for pens and cards — either credit or business. All items are crafted from 840D recycled nylon.
Expect the Goldwin Travel Equipment collection to release via the Goldwin website and the brand’s stores come May 17. Prices range from $90-$300 USD.
