Green Bay and Howard-Suamico school districts hold job fair for open district positions

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Green Bay and Howard-Suamico school districts held a job fair on Saturday that’s a little different than you’re probably used to.

Instead of finding jobs for the students, this event was focused on finding hopeful applicants for the schools. Anyone interested in working as a teacher, substitute, paraprofessional, custodian, or any other district position was invited to come by.

”We’re about a month away from the start of the school year with our early start of August 26th. Teachers come back August 19th, so we’re here to fill those vacant positions that we have throughout the district,” said Cindy Olson, principal of Washington Middle School.

The districts are also holding a walk-in job fair this Wednesday night at the Green Bay Area School District’s building on South Broadway.
