FOOTBALL

Little Chute 7, Luxemburg-Casco 0

LITTLE CHUTE – Brock Gardner scored from 2 yards out with 8:54 remaining in the game to propel the Mustangs past the Spartans.

The win clinches a postseason berth for Little Chute.

The touchdown was set up by a 58-yard pass from quarterback Cooper Effa to running back Reece Joten. Effa was scrambling to his left when he found Joten leaking out of the backfield. Joten then outraced the defense to the Spartans 2.

Little Chute is 4-2 in the North Eastern Conference and 5-3 overall, while Luxemburg-Casco falls to 4-2 and 4-4.

Division 1

Notre Dame sectional

GREEN BAY – Notre Dame won the team title with 47 points to advance to the WIAA state team tennis tournament Oct. 25-26.

The Tritons’ 47 points was six better than runner-up Bay Port.

The individual state tournament will be held Oct. 17-19.

Bay Port’s Karlie Schock won the No. 1 singles title, while the Pirates’ doubles team of Khali Stephens and Alexia Stephens won the No. 1 doubles title.

Schock won the singles title with a 7-6, 6-0 victory over West De Pere’s Lexie Hankel.

Khali Stephens and Alexia Stephens won the doubles title with a 6-7, 6-3, 10-7 win over De Pere’s Ana Cristescu and Maria Cristescu.

Kohler sectional

KOHLER – Kohler scored 44 points and beat St. Mary Catholic by two points to advance to the state team tournament.

Vivie Auth and Adel Schneider of St. Mary Catholic took first place at No. 1 doubles with a 7-6 (3), 3-6, 10-4 victory over Sophia Torke and Grace Villwock of Kohler.

Emily Vogel and Nadia Alexander of SMC took first at No. 2 doubles to also advance to state with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Charlotte Bullard and Melanie Pellegrino of Kohler.

GREEN BAY – The Blazers swept the Blue Devils 25-13, 25-19, 25-21 to improve to 23-8 overall and 7-0 in the Packerland Conference.

Emma Laatsch had 17 kills and 14 digs for NEW Lutheran. Abby Kirchner had 30 assists and 15 digs. Lexie Meerstein added seven kills and three blocks.

Algoma 3, Southern Door 0

ALGOMA – The Wolves earned the Packerland Conference win by downing the Eagles 25-17, 25-17, 25-19.

Statistical leaders for Southern Door were Alanah Kaye with 14 digs and Ashlyn Delfosse with 13 assists.

The Wolves move to 3-3 in the conference, while Southern Door falls to 1-6.

Suring 3, Crivitz 0

SURING – The Eagles started fast and rolled to a 25-14, 25-18, 25-23 Marinette & Oconto Conference win.

Leading the Crivitz attack were Kiya Brand with 10 assists and eight digs, Lucy Gruszynski with 13 digs, Taryn Tracy with 11 digs, five kills and three assists, Marli Meyers with three kills, Peyton Rehberg with five digs and four kills, Kristen Pusick with three kills, Megan Pusick with eight digs and three kills, and Brecken Ott with five digs.

Xavier 3, Green Bay West 0

GREEN BAY – The Hawks took charge early and rolled to a 25-11, 25-11, 25-13 win over the Wildcats in Bay Conference action.

The win moves Xavier to 6-0 in conference play.

Leading the offense for the Hawks were Sydney Neilitz with eight aces and 20 assists, Jena Bunks with three aces, Elle Downs with six kills, Rose Kendall with three assists, Lexi Allen with three kills, Grace Hackl with four aces, Ali Tylinski with four kills, Madison Daley with eight aces and three kills, and Braelee Kiepert with two aces and three kills.

BOYS SOCCER

De Pere 5, Green Bay Southwest 0

GREEN BAY – The Redbirds got a pair of goals from Maxim Skurka in the win over the Trojans.

De Pere also got goals from Brady Shanda, Joel Rosner and Jackson DeCleene.

De Pere, which is now 9-6-1 overall and 5-2 in the Fox River Classic Conference, got one save in goal from Logan Nycz.

Green Bay Southwest (1-9 overall, 1-6 FRCC) got 12 saves from Raymond Arrozal.

Pulaski 1, Manitowoc 1

PULASKI – Hudson Schultz scored in the 45th minute of the match, allowing the Red Raiders to tie the Ships.

Grant Graf had put Manitowoc ahead just 45 seconds into the match.

Donovan Holderness had an assist for Pulaski, while Josh Roth and Jonah Drevs combined for three saves in goal.

Manitowoc’s Mitchell Drescher had 13 saves.

Pulaski is now 12-3-3 overall and 3-3-1 in the Fox River Classic Conference. Manitowoc is 3-12-2 and 2-3-2.
