Green Bay East High School unveils new fitness center

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – People got the chance to check out Green Bay East High School’s new fitness center on Friday evening. It’s just one upgrade coming from a 2022 referendum for the district.

It was a chance for parents and families to see what their money is helping create for students and faculty.

The remodeled girls’ locker room was showcased as the boy’s locker room was being used for Friday’s football game, as well as the new bleachers in the school gym.

East High’s principal says students are excited to have the chance to use upgraded facilities and equipment.

“I think the kids are really seeing the opportunity that we have with this new space,” said Lisa Lipp. “They’re just excited to have a similar opportunity to other students around and we see that growth in all four of our traditional high schools.”

The school also received upgrades to its tennis courts, auditorium, and cafeteria.
