Gwen Stefani introduces fans to ‘incredible’ new family member

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton‘s family just got a whole lot cuter with the arrival of their newest furry companion.

The “Hollaback Girl” took to Instagram on Friday, September 27 to introduce fans to Corn Shelton, the adorable kitten who has officially joined the Stefani-Shelton ranch in Oklahoma. In a heartwarming video, Stefani, 54, shared the story of how they found Corn as a stray, nursed him back to health, and welcomed him into their loving family.

Stefani revealed that when they discovered Corn, he was in rough shape, clearly unwell and struggling. “This is Corn Shelton 🥰 the day he showed up to our home, he was hardly alive + so sick, but with a lot of love + nurturing, he became a healthy kitten,” she revealed in the caption, concluding, “We’re so grateful that he’s a part of our family.”

In the video, the 3-time Grammy winner can be seen cradling the tiny gray cat, wrapping him in a soft white blanket as she lovingly cared for him. As the footage unfolds, viewers watch Corn grow stronger, receiving nourishment and warmth from Stefani and Shelton. Fans got a look at 48-year-old Shelton’s softer side as well, as he can be heard in the background in one of the clips saying, “He’s doing incredible, getting fat,” to which the tiny kitten can be heard meowing back.

“Listen, I’m rooting for you Corn, but the best part of this video is hearing Blake’s sentimentality in his commentary ❤️,” noted one fan. Another said in the comments, “You have been chosen by the kitty distribution system haha.”

Others noted how lucky little Corn is. “Welcome to the good life, Corn. You sure picked the right family!” one fan declared, while another agreed, saying, “That kitten hit the jackpot 🎰.”

With three kids — Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10 — alongside their new kitten, the couple have quite the lively household. In addition to Stefani’s boys, the couple shares two dogs, Betty and Ginger, and a plethora of animals on their ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Just a month earlier, Shelton announced the addition “the newest member of the family” on Instagram, showing off a shiny new Kubota RTV-X1130 tractor, which he affectionately dubbed the “big long thing.”
