Halle Bailey Reveals the 1 Travel Hack She Swears by — and How It Makes Her Flights More ‘Comfortable’ (Exclusive)
Halle Bailey knows the importance of putting comfort above all else while traveling.
In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, the singer and actress, 24, opens up about one travel hack she swears by that makes her trips much more “comfortable.”
“I’m sort of a germaphobe, so I have to bring all of my sanitizing wipes,” says Bailey, who has teamed up with the Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card from Chase for the new Bold Chat Court contest.
“And then traveling through the airport, I still wear my mask. I just feel like privacy is nice too, as well as blocking away the germs,” she continues.
The mother of one adds that her overall airport attire is composed of select go-tos. “I have to wear my big shades, I have to wear only huge sweats — I have to be comfortable,” she says.

According to Bailey, there are “a lot” of travel destinations she’s been to that she is a big fan of.
“I love Saint Lucia. I love, love going there,” she says. “I would also say the Maldives. I want to go back so bad. I’ve only been once, but that’s probably the top of my vacation list. It was so beautiful, like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Bora Bora was beautiful too.

As for spots that she hasn’t visited yet that are on her travel bucket list, Bailey tells PEOPLE that a few locations stand out above the rest.
“I really, really want to go to Ghana. I hear so many great things about there. I’ve heard great things about Bali, about Greece. I’ve never been to Greece, to Mykonos. I really want to go,” she says. “The list can go on.”
Bailey says that travel has always been a part of her life, given her career in the entertainment industry.
“I think from a young age, travel just became essential,” she explains. “It granted me opportunities to be able to be in L.A., because I’m from Georgia.”
“I think the first time I got on a plane to L.A., I was around five or six years old, and I was coming out for pilot season. And, you know, you hear those things where you go out here to just be in the place where dreams come true,” Bailey adds.
As for travel spots she plans to visit before the year’s end, the star — who is one-half of the sister duo Chloe x Halle — says, “I have to go to New York in a few weeks. I have to go to London for work. Work doesn’t stop for me.”
“But in terms of leisurely vacation,” she continues, “I think I really, really, really, really want to go back to Mexico at some point before it starts getting too cold. So I’m trying to do it before the end of October.”
