Hamilton man arrested in shopping center parking lot after trying to meet teen for sex: Police
FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – A 25-year-old is in jail after police say he admitted to his plans to have sex with a teen girl.
Felix A. Natividad-Garcia, of Hamilton, is charged with importuning and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, according to the Fairfield Township Police Department.
The charges against Natividad-Garcia stem from an investigation which started on Aug. 6, police explained.
Police say they got a report that the 25-year-old was asking a 15-year-old on Snapchat to meet up for sex.
Later that night, Fairfield Township police say Natividad-Garcia tried to meet up with the teen in a parking lot at the Bridgewater Falls Shopping Center. He was arrested there, police explained.
“He knew, he even communicated with the juvenile female that he knew he’d be in a lot of trouble if he got caught, so he was quite aware,” explained Sgt. Brandon McCroskey. “He knew what he was doing and he even admitted at the police department later on that he knew what he was doing.”
Natividad-Garcia admitted to detectives his intent to have sex with the juvenile female, according to police.
The Fairfield Police Department seized his phone and is getting a search warrant to go through the materials on it.
The 25-year-old is now in the Butler County Jail awaiting his first court appearance.
