Happy Shopping! The RealReal and Conservation International Toast to Their Second-Annual Celebrity Closet Sale

In Greenwich Village, The RealReal and Conservation International co-hosted a cocktail party to celebrate the launch of their second annual celebrity closet sale—and the dress code called for party-goers to wear a unique piece that sparked conversation. From treasured heirloom pieces passed down over decades to recent thrift finds, guests enthusiastically shared their fashion stories. Model Jacquelyn Jablonski wore a vintage Ralph Lauren jacket her mother had thrifted. Meanwhile, President and COO of TheRealReal Rati Sahi Levesque wore Bvlgari earrings she had purchased when TRR first went public.

The occasion toasted this year’s closet sale featuring 230 luxury pieces consigned by influential women from fashion, journalism, social justice, and culture, including the likes of Kate Moss, Julianne Moore, Parker Posey, Janicza Bravo, Natasha Lyonne, Marisa Tomei, Rebecca Hall, Emmy Rossum, Cleo Wade and more. In addition, The RealReal will donate $25,000 to benefit Conservation International, highlighting how the re-sale of high-quality fashion can reduce the environmental impact of the throwaway culture of fast fashion.

Attendees passed around a film camera documenting their conversational outfits and writing down the story of their favorite pieces on parchment paper to accompany their Polaroid. Among attendees, Oscar winner Marisa Tomei was joined by Conservation International ambassador, actor, and activist Shailene Woodley, alongside Isabela Ferrer, Juliana Canfield, and Halston muse Pat Cleveland. Attendees included Isabela Ferrer, Juliana Canfield, Marisa Tomei, Shailene Woodley, Alexandra Richards, Chelsea Leyland, Isabella Massenet, Daria Strokous, Faith Jaggernauth, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Ian Bradley, Brianna Lance, Carlotta Kohl, Coco Baudelle, Isolde Brielmaier, and more.
