Harrison Butker to practice Wednesday, D.J. Humphries will not
Chiefs kicker Matthew Wright was named the AFC offensive player of the week on Wednesday, but he may not hold onto his current job for long.
Head coach Andy Reid said at his Wednesday press conference that Harrison Butker is going to be taking part in practice for the first time since he went on injured reserve. Butker had knee surgery and Reid said there is a chance that he could be activated in time to play against the Browns on Sunday.
Butker was 18-of-20 on field goals and 21-of-22 on extra points in nine games before his injury. Spencer Shrader initially replaced him, but the team turned to Wright when Shrader was also placed on injured reserve.
While Butker will be practicing, Reid said that left tackle D.J. Humphries will not. Humphries made his first start since joining the Chiefs last Sunday, but injured his hamstring in the win over the Chargers.
