Heartland travel expert shares tips and tricks for planning fall trips
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – Are you hoping to take a little trip this fall before the holidays roll in?
Whether you want to see fall colors in the northeast or maybe go somewhere tropical, Carolyn Kempf, President and CEO of Elite Travel, has tips.
Kempf said most people are choosing to spend autumn in Vermont and Boston to see the fall foliage.
The spooky season has many considering visiting Universal Studios in Florida as well as Disney World.
Kempf told me Salem, Massachusetts is a large destination to understand the history of the Halloween season.
A few of the affordable options she recommends are Gatlinburg and Branson, because of the close driving distances and lower cabin prices.
A big factor when traveling is the weather and a term called, “over tourism.”
Kempf said an example of this is going somewhere that is always very busy. Italy this year is crowded and is expecting long wait times for tourists.
