Henry County opens outdoor fitness court
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – National Fitness Campaign in Virginia, sponsored by Aetna, announced a partnership with Henry County Parks & Recreation to open an outdoor fitness court and digital wellness program.
The Fitness Court, designed to expand free access to workouts, is open to the public, on 1000 Irisburg Road in Axton.
The workouts are adaptable for all fitness levels, allowing participants to move at their own pace.

The Fitness Court® is an innovative, challenging and fun way to provide opportunity and empower people on their path to good health.”
“We want to set our residents up for success in their journeys to a healthier lifestyle,” said Garrett Dillard, Supervisor of the Iriswood District. “This Fitness Court® will serve to eliminate common barriers to physical fitness, such as lack of access, lack of funds, and lack of knowledge on techniques. By partnering with Aetna® and the National Fitness Campaign on this initiative, we hope to create a more active and healthy community in Henry County.”
