Her Universe Comic-Con Fashion Show 2024 Celebrates Barbie, Polly Pocket & More Mattel-inspired Looks on the Runway [PHOTOS]

Mattel’s legacy of products were celebrated on the runway at Comic-Con International 2024 in San Diego on July 23.

Her Universe, a fandom fashion and lifestyle brand by founder Ashley Eckstein, featured looks inspired by Barbie, Polly Pocket, Uno, Hot Wheels and more. Eckstein said the collaboration was organic as the brands have an existing licensing relationship, with Her Universe producing official licensed Mattel merchandise.

“It made perfect sense for us to partner with Mattel for this year’s show because it’s a year of milestone anniversaries for both of us,” Eckstein said. “Mattel is celebrating 65 years of Barbie, 35 years of Polly Pocket and nearly 80 years of Mattel, and we’re celebrating 10 years of the Her Universe Fashion Show.”

The designs were produced by 25 participants who competed for an opportunity to design a fashion collection with Her Universe.
