TRACK AND FIELD

Packerland Conference Championships

ALGOMA – Kewaunee won the boys team championship with 170 points, while Southern Door took home the girls team title with 157.5 points.

Kewaunee’s Christopher Cullen won the 1,600-meter run, the 800 and was part of the Storm’s winning 1,600 relay team with Maddix Mueller, Jackson Wisnicky and Thomas Stangel.

Stangel also won the long jump and was on the winning 800 relay. The Storm’s Maddix Mueller won the triple jump and was on the winning 800 relay along with DJ Echos and Coy Kleiman.

Southern Door’s Zack Lynch won the 100 and the 200 and was part of Southern Door’s winning 400 relay with Colt Gilbertson, Alaric Urban and Lauden Berg.

In the girls meet, Southern Door’s Frankie Nellis won the 200, the long jump and the triple jump.

Peshtigo’s Christina Powers was a double winner in the shot put and the discus throw.

Gibraltar’s McKailey Reisen won the 100 hurdles, the high jump and was part of the winning 400 relay with Aria Nordahl, Hayden Knudson and Bella Jones.

Kewaunee’s Hannah Miller was a double winner in the 400 and the 800.

Sturgeon Bay’s Ella Tarkowski won the 100 and was on the winning 1,600 relay team with Ava Estes, Jade Tomberlin and Cady Carlson.

BASEBALL

De Pere 5, Manitowoc 0

DE PERE – The Redbirds took over sole possession of first place in the Fox River Classic Conference with the win.

Easton Arendt pitched 5⅓ innings to get the win for De Pere. He struck out three and walked two. Landon Raygo pitched the final 1⅔ innings and allowed one hit.

Raygo also had two hits, including a two-run home run in the fifth inning, and drove in three runs. Javin Gauthier added two hits for De Pere, which is 17-3 overall and 14-2 in the FRCC.

Noah Wech had two hits for the Ships.

Bay Port 8, Sheboygan North 0

SHEBOYGAN – Parker Lawson pitched five innings and struck out seven to lead the Pirates to the victory.

Sawyer Larson, Beau Jensen and Evan Cichanofsky each had two hits for Bay Port.

Notre Dame 7, Sheboygan South 3

GREEN BAY – Noah Smits pitched 6⅔ innings, allowing two hits while striking out seven, to lead the Tritons to the victory.

Micah Marzec drove in three runs and Emmett Hunter had two RBI for Notre Dame. Christian Collins added two hits for the Tritons.

West De Pere 6, Shawano 2

DE PERE – The Phantoms scored four runs in the first inning and went on to the Bay Conference win over the Hawks.

Duke Shovald had two hits and two RBI for West De Pere. Drew VanOss added two hits and an RBI. They both hit doubles.

Carter Schmitt pitched a one-hitter in the complete game for West De Pere. He walked three, struck out seven and both runs he allowed were unearned.

Shawano’s only hit was a double by Carsen Herm.

Bonduel 3, Manawa 2

MANAWA – Noah Weier pitched a complete game for the Bears in the win over the Wolves.

Weier gave up two runs, four hits and one walk while striking out seven.

Dakota Stroud pitched a complete game for Manawa. He gave up three hits, walked two and struck out six.

The Bears are now 16-3 overall and 10-1 in the CWC-East.

Crivitz 7, Gillett/Suring 0

CRIVITZ – Tegan Werner and Jaxon Kroll combined to pitch the shutout for the Wolverines.

Werner pitched six innings and allowed three hits to get the win. He walked three and struck out six. Kroll did not allow a hit in the final inning.

Pierce Polomis was 3-for-3 with two RBI for Crivitz, and Logan Marvin drove in three runs.

Lena 9, Wausaukee 6

WAUSAUKEE – The Wildcats scored six runs in the sixth inning to rally for the victory.

Logan Graef pitched five scoreless innings to get the win for Lena. He allowed four hits, no walks and struck out 12.

Graef also had a double and an RBI for Lena. Anthony Seefeldt had two hits.

Wausaukee was led by Seth Kraemer, who had two hits and two RBI. Luke Smith also had two hits.

Oconto 8, Menominee, Mich. 0

MENOMINEE, Mich. – Riley Susa pitched six innings, allowed two hits and struck out 10 to lead the Blue Devils to the nonconference win.

Kyle Bowman and Cooper Campshure each had two hits to lead the Oconto offense.

Kewaunee 10-15, NEW Lutheran/Oneida Nation 0-1

KEWAUNEE – Brett Paulsen pitched a six-inning no-hitter and struck out 11 to lead the Storm to the 10-0 victory.

Toby Kunkel had three hits and drove in two runs. Brady Pribek had a double and drove in three runs, and Brett Paulsen also drove in two runs.

Pribek pitched five innings and allowed only one hit for Kewaunee in the 15-1 win. He struck out seven and walked two.

Waylon Delain drove in three runs, while Pribek and Kunkel had two RBI each. Ethan Paplham added two hits, including a double.

SOFTBALL

Kewaunee 3-5, Sevastopol 2-6

STURGEON BAY – The Storm won the completion of the suspended game 3-2, then Sevastopol won the regularly scheduled game 6-5.

Naomi Rikkola hit a home run for Kewaunee in the first game.

In the second game, Addison Schauske pitched a complete game for the win. She allowed two earned runs and struck out 10.

Schauske also had three hits, including a double and a home run, and three RBI. Jolene Luedtke added two hits, including a double.

Southern Door 1, Kiel 0

KIEL – Alanah Kaye pitched a complete game, allowing two hits to get the shutout in the circle for the Eagles.

Kaye issued three walks and struck out six batters.

Ashlyn Delfosse and Madyson Counard each had a double for Southern Door and Delfosse drove in the game’s only run with a sacrifice fly in the third inning.

Southern Door finishes the regular season with an 18-5 overall record.
