Here are Tuesday’s high school sports results for the Green Bay area

Division 1

Notre Dame Sectional

HOBART – Bay Port won the sectional title and Notre Dame finished second to both qualify for the WIAA state tournament.

The top two teams and the top three players not from those teams qualify for state.

Mason Haupt of West De Pere was the individual sectional champion after shooting 68. Chance Rill of Kimberly and Collin Evers of Appleton West also advanced as individuals.

Preston Lamirande led Bay Port by finishing second with a 70.

Bennett Madson led Notre Dame by finishing third with a 74.

The state tournament is June 3-4 on the Meadow Valleys Course at Blackwolf Run in Kohler.

Luxemburg-Casco Sectional

LUXEMBURG – Winneconne and Seymour advanced to the state meet, with the Wolves winning the sectional title by seven strokes over the Thunder.

Austin Dobbe and Casey Peters tied for third by shooting 74 to lead Winneconne. Vince Sigl led Seymour with a 75 and tied for fifth.

Alex Johnson of Berlin shot 72 to earn medalist honors and advance to state as an individual. Jon Bertram of Xavier and Matthew Vanden Heuvel of Wrightstown also advanced to state as individuals.

LAKEWOOD – Bonduel won the team title and Lena was second to both qualify for next week’s state tournament.

Colin Margelofsky and Jake Dreyer both shot 77 to lead Bonduel. Braden McVane led Lena with a 75 and was the individual sectional champion.

Kaiden Bailey of St. Thomas Aquinas Academy advanced to state as an individual with a tie for second place at 76.

BASEBALL

Division 1

Bay Port 15, Green Bay East/West 0

SUAMICO – The third-seeded Pirates cruised to the regional win over 14th-seeded Green Bay East/West. Bay Port will play host to sixth-seeded Pulaski on Thursday in the regional final.

Pulaski 2, Green Bay Southwest 1

PULASKI – The sixth-seeded Red Raiders held off the 11th-seeded Trojans in a regional matchup to advance to Thursday’s regional final against Bay Port.

Hortonville 7, Green Bay Preble 1

HORTONVILLE – The seventh-seeded Polar Bears pushed across four runs in the third, two in the fourth and one in the sixth to earn the regional win.

Hortonville will face second-seeded Kimberly in Thursday’s regional final.

Broden Butzin doubled and drove in two runs, while Turner Kuhnke and Jack Coenen had two hits each to lead Hortonville.

Taiven Gass pitched four innings to earn the win, allowing one hit, while striking out three. Bo Anderson finished, pitching three innings, allowing three hits, one earned run and striking out five.

Cian Burke was 2-for-3 to power the Hornets.

Division 2

Denmark 11, Sturgeon Bay 1

DENMARK – The second-seeded Vikings dominated the seventh-seeded Clippers in six innings in the regional semifinal.

Brandon Dvorak pitched all six innings, giving up just two hits and striking out eight for the win. He also had two hits at the plate, including an RBI single in the second to give Denmark a 1-0 lead.

The Vikings made it 6-0 in the third inning on an RBI single by Kaden Derricks and a two-run single by Ebyn LaForest. Braedyn Heezen had an RBI double in the sixth.

Jaycob Dittmer and LaForest also had two hits.

Denmark is 17-7 overall and will play host to Xavier on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in a regional final.

Notre Dame 11, Shawano 5

GREEN BAY – Bryson Koehne had three hits and three RBI, and Drew Siudzinski drove in four runs for the Tritons in the regional win over the Hawks.

Xavier 8, Luxemburg-Casco 0

LUXEMBURG – The sixth-seeded Hawks upset the third-seeded Spartans to advance to Wednesday’s regional final against Denmark.

Fox Valley Lutheran 9, Seymour 5

SEYMOUR – The Foxes upped their record to 15-12 with the win over the Thunder.

Fox Valley Lutheran will play at top-seeded Mosinee on Wednesday in the regional final.

Seymour finishes its season with a record of 14-11.

Division 3

Bonduel 1, Oconto 0

BONDUEL – Brodie Hartmann tripled to lead off the bottom of the sixth and scored on a sacrifice fly by Karson Stoss and that was all Bonduel needed to pull out the regional win.

Bonduel (20-3) advanced to play Wittenberg-Birnamwood on Wednesday.

Noah Weier and Devon Bostwick matched scoreless innings through three innings and then Bostwick left with an injury. Riley Susa then went to the mound and held the Bears scoreless until the sixth when Bonduel got on the board. Weier was solid before giving way to Cade Johnson to finish the seventh for a save.

Kyle Bowman and Joey Bailey had Oconto’s two hits.

Bonduel had five hits, with three for extra bases. Colin Margelofsky and Beckett Hartlaben doubled and Brodie Hartmann tripled for the Bears.

St. Mary Catholic 1, Kewaunee 0

KEWAUNEE – Colin Nigl was 2-for-4 with a double and drove in the game’s lone run as the sixth-seeded Zephyrs upended the third-seeded Storm in regional action.

Fisher MacKenzie was also 2-for-4 for SMC.

Nigl picked up the win on the mound, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out eight.

Brett Paulsen took the loss for the Storm despite a solid effort. In 5⅔ innings, he allowed six hits, one earned run and five walks while striking out seven.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 5, Coleman 0

WITTENBERG – The fourth-seeded Chargers blanked the fifth-seeded Cougars and advanced to Wednesday’s regional final against top-seeded Bonduel.

Division 4

Lena 10, Wausaukee 8

WAUSAUKEE – The Wildcats scored four runs in the seventh inning to rally for the win over the Rangers.

Tyler Shallow had two hits for Lena and scored five runs. Colt Miller had two hits, including a double, and drove in five runs. Dash Comins also had two hits.

Christian Deschane drove in three runs for Wausaukee. Connor Schroeder scored four runs for Wausaukee, while Seth Kraemer scored twice.

Shallow pitched two innings in relief of starting pitcher Logan Graef to get the win.

Evan Suennen pitched the final four innings and took the loss for Wausaukee.

Gibraltar/Washington Island 1, Tigerton 0

FISH CREEK – The Vikings’ Beckett Johnson drove in a run in the second inning to lead Gibraltar/Washington Island to the win over the Tigers.

Bennett Isaacson-Krueger got the win for Gibraltar/Washington Island, allowing just one hit over 5⅓ innings. He struck out nine and walked two.

Caleb Dahlstrom took the loss for Tigerton, allowing one run on one hit and four walks over 5⅔ innings.

Joey Zimdars had two hits for Tigerton.

Niagara 6, Northland Lutheran 1

NIAGARA – The fourth-seeded Badgers downed the fifth-seeded Wildcats to advance to Wednesday’s regional final. Niagara will take on eighth-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas.

SOFTBALL

Division 3

Peshtigo 7, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 6

PESHTIGO – The Bulldogs improved to 17-6 with the win over the Chargers.

Peshtigo, which has won nine of its last 11 games, will face Mishicot in the sectional championship Thursday at Oconto.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood finishes with a 16-11 record.

Division 4

Random Lake 9, Algoma 5

ALGOMA – The Rams improved their record to 17-5 with the win over the Wolves.

Random Lake will play Coleman for the sectional title at Crivitz at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Algoma, which had won 10 games in a row, ends its season with a 23-4 record.

Coleman 2, Manawa 1

COLEMAN – The top-seeded Cougars outlasted the third-seeded Wolves to advance to Thursday’s sectional final against second-seeded Random Lake.

GIRLS SOCCER

Division 1

Bay Port 2, Stevens Point 1

SUAMICO – The Pirates will host Appleton West in the regional final Saturday after defeating the Panthers.

Bay Port has a 10-match winning streak and improves its record to 17-1-2 with the win.

Stevens Point’s season-ending record is 9-10-2.

De Pere 2, Green Bay Preble 1

DE PERE – The Redbirds advance to Saturday’s regional title game at Kimberly against the Papermakers with the win over the Hornets.

De Pere is now 11-6-6.

Green Bay Preble closes its season with a 9-4-3 record.

Pulaski 3, Hortonville 0

PULASKI – The Red Raiders blanked the Polar Bears to advance to Saturday’s regional championship.

Pulaski, which finished fifth in the Fox River Classic Conference, is now 13-4 and will host Watertown in the regional final. The Goslings beat Oshkosh North 7-0.

Hortonville finishes 2-15.

Division 2

Green Bay Southwest 1, Port Washington 1

GREEN BAY – The Trojans defeated the Pirates 4-2 on penalty kicks to advance to Saturday’s regional final at Cedarburg.

Port Washington took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Emme Degenhardt.

Adycen Engles, with an assist from Autumn Nolle, tied the match in the 57th minute for Green Bay Southwest.

After two scoreless overtime periods, Green Bay Southwest advanced by converting all four of its penalty kicks while Port Washington made just 2-of-4.

Green Bay Southwest is now 4-7-5 overall.

Menasha 5, Green Bay East 2

MENASHA – The Bluejays advance to Saturday’s regional championship with the win over the Red Devils.

Menasha is now 10-5 and will play at West De Pere on Saturday.

Green Bay East has its season end with a record of 7-10.

Slinger 3, Ashwaubenon 0

SLINGER – The Owls kept the Jaguars’ shots from finding the back of the net to pick up the win.

Ashwaubenon closes the books on this campaign with a 9-12-1 record.

West De Pere 8, Beaver Dam 1

DE PERE – The Phantoms advanced to Saturday’s regional title match with the win over the Golden Beavers.

West De Pere is now 16-2 and will play Menasha.
