Here’s When iOS 18 Release Candidate Update Will Arrive On Your iPhone

iOS 18 is Apple’s biggest update for the iPhone for a lot of reasons, and it has been speculated that the update will change how we use our devices. At its WWDC event, Apple announced iOS 18 with the Apple Intelligence platform, which will transform how we use our iPhones and iPads. While the company’s iPhone 16 lineup is expected to be announced next week, it brings us to ask when Apple will seed the Release Candidate build of iOS 18 for compatible devices.

Apple could seed the release candidate build of iOS 18 and other updates on September 9, soon after the iPhone 16 announcement event

Well, we now have a very solid idea of when Apple will make the iOS 18 release candidate update available to the developers and public beta testers. Developers have been testing the latest build ever since the company released the first beta of iOS 18 and so far, the update has been pretty stable, as far as one of the last few betas are concerned. This means that developers and Apple have done a pretty good job curating all the bugs and issues for a stable release.

Apple’s release candidate update refers to the last update of a specific version of iOS, iOS 18 in this case, and it is usually the final build before the company releases the stable build to the general public. Last year, Apple announced its iPhone 15 lineup on September 12, and soon after the event, the company seeded the release candidate build of iOS 17 to developers for final testing. This year, the company is set to announce the iPhone 16 lineup on September 9, and if the company keeps up with its past trends, we could see the release candidate update of iOS 18 arrive on the same day.

There is a high chance that the company will release the release candidate build of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 on September 9, soon after it announces the iPhone 16 models. Other than iOS 18, Apple will also seed the release candidate build of macOS 15 and watchOS 11. tvOS 18, visionOS 2, and some other updates on the same day for all compatible devices. If you are anxiously waiting for the final release candidate build, be sure to keep an eye out, as we will be covering the updates in extensive detail.

Once the release candidate updates are available next week, we would see the final version arrive for the public a week after. However, the company could see fit to release the final builds later, as sometime Apple releases a second iteration of the release candidate builds. We will cover the event in extensive detail, so be sure to stick around for more.
