Here’s why former WWE broadcaster Kayla Braxton is leaving the wrestling business

Kayla Becker (fka Kayla Braxton) said goodbye to WWE earlier this summer at Madison Square Garden. At the time, she shot down rumors about talks with AEW, and implied that she is moving on from the wrestling business.

In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Kayla was directly asked about her future plans in wrestling. Kayla made it clear that she’s done with pro wrestling for now, and briefly explained why she made this decision:

Chris: “Are you done with working in wrestling for now?”

Kayla: “Yeah, I think so. That’s one thing about our fans…they think, oh you leave WWE, you must be going to AEW or OnlyFans. It’s like the only two options that they think that you have. I’m like, actually, I’m doing neither.

Wrestling will always be a love of mine and always be a family of mine. But I think I just really didn’t want to pigeonhole myself as a host and a broadcaster, and just see what else I can do out there. I mean, there’s always possibility that maybe I pop back in for a fun cameo or something down the road. But yeah, I think my time is done.”

Are you disappointed to hear that Kayla thinks her time is done in pro wrestling? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
