HHSAA baseball semifinals latest postponement due to heavy rain

HONOLULU — Thursday’s HHSAA Division I and II baseball semifinals at Les Murakami Stadium have been postponed due to heavy rain.

An HHSAA spokesperson confirmed that the first game of the day between Kamehameha-Hawaii and Kauai was suspended. It will try to resume that game at 10 a.m. Friday at LMS, followed by the second D-II semifinal between Damien and Waianae.

Thursday’s 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. televised Division I semifinals between Saint Louis-Maui High and Baldwin-Kamehameha will be played at those same times on Friday, weather permitting.

The HHSAA is hopeful the weather will be slightly improved on Friday based on forecasts.

Earlier Thursday, the HHSAA postponed its Division I and II softball semifinals at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium to Friday.
