High level gameplay footage of Akuma in Street Fighter 6 as played Tokido, MenaRD, and Daigo

Akuma was recently released along with the Season 2 update for Street Fighter 6. In preparation for the next Capcom Pro Tour season, high level players across the world have been exploring how Akuma will fit into the new meta.

The FGC Place recently uploaded videos featuring Rohto|Tokido, BST|Daigo, and Bandits MenaRD, all playing as Akuma in Street Fighter 6. Since their opponents, CAG|Fenritti, Naooonn, and Bandits|Caba, are all quite talented in Street Fighter 6, the videos feature some high level matches.

Fenritti proves to be a challenging opponent for Tokido as he is a Legend ranked JP user. As expected, Tokido tends to play Akuma very aggressively, often approaching with the usage of air fireballs. Due to this, Tokido ends up cornering Fentritti with his aggressive approaches quite a bit.

Daigo ends up playing against Naooonn. Both Daigo and Naooonn are using Akuma in the Legend ranks already.

Of course, Daigo’s playstyle with Akuma is fairly different to that of Tokido’s. He instead prefers to play at midrange and poke at the opponent with Akuma’s fireball game.

Finally, MenaRD is seen playing against Caba’s Guile. Since the two are quite familiar with each other’s playstyles, MenaRD is forced to play very methodically and patiently.
