High School Sports Scores and Highlights: District tournament play takes over

In the blink of an eye, the high school sports fall season is quickly routing towards postseason form.

On Thursday, district tournament play picked up in girls soccer and volleyball on the Tennessee side of the state line.

By the end of the night, Science Hill girls soccer would be crowned District 1 AAA champs again – while Dobyns-Bennett and Daniel Boone volleyball squads would fight their way to next week’s semifinal round.

In Virginia, the Ridgeview Wolfpack remained unbeaten on the season in a Mountain 7 trip to Bristol.
