Fans of the classic Christmas film “Home Alone” can look forward to Macaulay Culkin stopping in Louisville this holiday season.

Culkin, who played the lead role in the 1990 film as a 10 year old, will visit the Louisville Palace in downtown Dec. 3 for a “Home Alone” screening followed by a live discussion and audience Q&A.

Tickets for the event go on sale to the general public starting Sept. 13, but various presale offerings begin Sept. 9 for eligible buyers.

Culkin shot to fame after “Home Alone,” in which he played Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old kid who gets left behind when his family ventures on a holiday vacation. Throughout the movie, McCallister staves off burglars and exhibits his imaginative survival instincts. Culkin’s performance in the film earned him a Golden Globe nomination.

The film screening is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Afterward, audience members can sit in on a moderated discussion of Culkin’s experience working on set and his thoughts on the blockbuster movie.
