Home in Exclusive Golf Community in Florida Popular With Sports Stars Lists for $18.5 Million

A home in the Bear’s Club, an exclusive star-studded golf community in the heart of Jupiter, Florida, has been listed for $18.5 million.  

Home to sports greats including Michael Jordan and Rory Mcllroy, the enclave was founded in 1999 and spans 400 acres. 

The custom-built home was created by Onshore Construction in 2018, and is more than 12,000 square feet with seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.

“It’s all top of the line people that were involved in making this home, the design, the building,” said Gary Pohrer, an agent with Douglas Elliman, who listed the home last week  “The previous owners lightly used it, so it is in move-condition.” The seller was not immediately available for comment.

The ground floor includes an entertaining room with a pool table and bar.

The entryway of the home includes marble flooring, layered chandeliers and a sweeping staircase. It opens up into a den with a fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows and a table that can fit eight people, according to listing photos. The ground floor also includes a living room, an entertaining room with a bar and pool table, a kitchen, a movie room, an office and three en-suite bedrooms.

Upstairs there’s a sizable balcony, a den and four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

The mansion is mainly neutral toned, with wooden furnishings, stone flooring and tiled walls throughout to create a contemporary yet simple design. 

The small details, such as the pattern wallpaper in the bathrooms or the colorful shades in the bedroom, create a vibrant feel throughout the home.Outdoor amenities include a large pool with an attached spa, an outdoor kitchen, an outdoor seating area, a firepit and a pergola. 

According to Pohrer, along with the 18-hole championship course, the community offers residents a gym and great dining options.

Jupiter, home to fewer than 1,000 people, is one of the wealthiest communities in Florida. It is not only known for its luxurious beaches, laid-back atmosphere, top tier amenities and outdoor adventures, but its golf courses that stay green year-round, attracting some of the biggest names in golf to move there permanently. 

The heart of Jupiter is its renowned lighthouse, built in 1860, which can be spotted from some of the city’s hot spots, including the restaurants, shops and the live entertainment areas.
