In its sixth year, Hometown Jams will host its 50th show by the end of the year.

“It’s crazy, I never thought it would get to this point,” said Tyrus Joseforsky, the founder of Hometown Jams. “We have an amazing team that loves putting on these shows and seeing people with their smiling faces at all of our shows.”

He said the success of the company is because of the team that cares about making sure people are having a great time at each performance.

It’s clear attendees are enjoying their experiences at the shows because about 30% of people purchasing tickets are repeat attendees.

“That’s a huge thing for us,” Joseforsky said. “That’s a sign of pride for us that we’re doing something right.”

If you haven’t yet checked out a Hometown Jams show, there are tickets available for several amazing shows throughout the area.

The Eli Young Band is performing Aug. 1 at Bulldog Park in Crown Point. On Aug. 4, Parmalee will be at the Central Park Plaza in Valparaiso.

Gabby Barrett is coming to Evansville on Sept. 6 for a show at the Old National Events Plaza.

There are back-to-back shows coming to the Tippecanoe County Amphitheater in West Lafayette with Chris Lane performing Sept. 12 and Elle King taking the stage Sept. 13. Hometown Jams will be back in Valparaiso on Sept. 20 as Chase Matthew performs at Central Park Plaza.

Joseforsky said Evansville is a new market added this year, and Hometown Jams will be expanding into Elkhart later this year.

“This has definitely been the year of expansion for us,” he said. “This year alone, we are up to eight markets that we operate in across Indiana and 10 venues that we operate in, and just last year, it was five markets.”

Joseforsky is excited about the growth and what it means for attendees.

“That just shows the trajectory that things are on right now, which is definitely exciting. and we’re gaining more and more fans and a bigger audience all across Indiana,” he said. “That’s the goal, to continue to bring these concerts to people’s backyards.”

But Hometown Jams isn’t just about the planning productions at local venues. The company also has a focus on assisting the communities it serves.

The total economic impact of having Hometown Jams performances in different Indiana communities has reached nearly $9 million.

Locally, Hobart has experienced an economic impact of about $4 million from Hometown Jams productions. Valparaiso and Crown Point have had a similar experience with an impact of about $2 million in each of those communities.

“We just want to better the communities and bring high quality entertainment to them,” Joseforsky said.

And while Hometown Jams continues to grow across Indiana, the company isn’t going to forget where it came from.

It all started in Hobart, and Joseforsky said Hometown Jams will continue to grow its footprint in Northwest Indiana by living up to its reputation of attracting amazing performers to the Region.

“We’re never going to lose sight of that,” he said. “We want to be the best in everything we do and everywhere we go, and I think our fans see that and that’s why they keep coming back.”
