The world of corporate air travel is constantly evolving, and commercial airlines that form partnerships with corporate clients must evolve their services offered to meet the needs of these clients. Considering that corporate travel has recovered well and has been booming since the pandemic, the three major carriers in the United States, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines, have updated each of their bespoke corporate services offered to their respective clients.

American’s Corporate Travel Program

The Corporate Travel Program (CTP) offered by American Airlines is created to work around the needs of its clients with the ability to cater to the business and its needs. From offering flexible booking options to the ability to change or cancel flights without incurring penalties, the flexibility is perfect for clients running businesses that might require changing plans or itineraries on short notice.

While the system is integrated with facilities to allow for easy booking, tracking, and management of the client’s corporate travels, according to Travel and Tour World, this year, the airline has also integrated the CTP with AI-powered platforms to provide the clients with personalized travel solutions.

With AI integrated into the system, the platform can now automatically re-book clients in the event of operational disruptions and also offer personalized suggestions for various accommodations and ground transportation available, thus ensuring the travel experience for corporate clients remains smooth and seamless.

Delta Air Lines’ Edge program

The Delta Edge program utilized by Delta Air Lines is a platform available solely for the airline’s corporate clients. It provides personalized travel experiences by considering the client’s unique requirements when forming itineraries. With the program’s “data-driven” analytics, the clients have the option to optimize their travel spending and customize their travel experience.

While the program enables flexible bookings and itineraries for clients, it also features dedicated account support for the airline’s clients. With the addition of real-time analytics features introduced this year, the platform can now enable travel managers to make decisions based on the organization’s needs, thus making the whole experience optimal and economical for clients.

Delta, in line with its own goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030, also enables various initiatives for its clients to reduce their own carbon footprint during corporate travel. This includes options for carbon offsetting and utilizing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) during their travels.

United’s United for Business Program

The United for Business corporate travel program offered by United Airlines takes a more holistic approach and has developed tools in its program that can be utilized by both small and large businesses. While the program allows smaller businesses to utilize discounts and flexible booking options to help keep the client’s costs down, the United for Business program also allows larger businesses customized travel solutions that meet the client’s requirements and even offer dedicated account management.

This year, the airline introduced features that allow organizations to use enhanced monitoring functions to track their employees’ travels in real-time, along with new management tools to ensure the corporate traveler’s safety and support.
