How disastrous things would be if Twitter was put in charge of Street Fighter 6’s balance patch
May 22 is slated to be a big day for Street Fighter 6 fans. Not only is Akuma being released as the final Season 1 DLC fighter, but the biggest balance patch the game has seen so far will also be available.
It’s probably for the best that Capcom doesn’t listen to communities on Twitter in regards to every balance adjustment. Regardless, Mikey D. recently posted an amusing video that showcases what kind of patch we would have to expect if Capcom did leave Twitter in charge of a patch in Street Fighter 6.
Of course, Mikey D. doesn’t seem to be referencing any specific Tweets or posts with his video. Rather, it’s just meant to tackle generic complaints that come up about Street Fighter 6 from time to time.
For example, you might’ve seen a comment about damage being too high in Street Fighter 6. In this hypothetical video, damage has effectively been halved.
Drive Rush is too powerful? Now, it costs six bars of meter, even when performing it in neutral.
It’s often said that Drive Parry is too safe of an option. So this has been addressed by giving it 69 frames of recovery time.
