How far will Notre Dame football travel the last two weeks of the season?

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – With Notre Dame playing its last game of the season at Notre Dame Stadium last weekend, the Irish will spend the last two weeks of the regular season doing a lot of traveling.

The Fighting Irish will head back home to South Bend following Saturday night’s game against Army at Yankee Stadium. But with a trip to USC being the last game on their regular season schedule, the team has a busy week ahead.

“You’ve got to make certain accommodations when you get back at 3 or 4 in the morning. So, we made some changes in the schedule for Sunday, which is their day off, and what we’re going to do on Monday post-Army,” Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman says. “And then it’s a unique week, USC week, because it’s Thanksgiving break.”

So, how far will Notre Dame have to travel the last two weeks of the season?

It’s around 700 miles from South Bend to New York. There and back is around 1,400 miles.

The Fighting Irish will have a little bit of time to rest before they have to head out to California to take on the USC Trojans. It is 2,100 miles from here to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Round trip, that’s 4,200 miles.

So, in two weeks Notre Dame will have traveled almost 6,000 miles.
