Erie’s amusement park is just days away from opening for the 2024 season.
Here is what you need to know this year about hours and admission prices for Waldameer Park and Water World at 220 Peninsula Drive.
What are the days and hours for Waldameer and Water World?
Beginning on May 4, Waldameer will be open on Saturdays and Sundays only from noon to 8 p.m. Water World will be closed until May 25.
Beginning on May 25, Water World will be open on Saturdays and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. while Waldameer will be open from noon to 8 p.m.
The amusement park will begin their summer hours on June 7 when the amusement park will be open from noon to 9 p.m. and the water park will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day except Wednesdays.

Days that the park will be open with different hours
On certain days, including May 27, the Fourth of July and Labor Day on September 2, both the amusement and water park will have different hours.
- On May 27, Waldameer will be open from 11a.m. to 7 p.m. while Water World will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- On the Fourth of July and Labor Day, Waldameer will be open from 11a.m. to 7 p.m. while Water World will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- The park will wind down for the season in late August when it will be closed from Aug. 19 to Aug. 21 and then from Aug. 26 to Aug. 29.
- The final day of the 2024 season will be on Sept. 2.

How much does it cost to get into Waldameer?
Admission to Waldameer is free, however, in order to ride the rides you must purchase a ride pass.
All guests entering Water World, including spectators, require admission via single-day Water World Pass or Combo Pass wristband. This does not include children under 30 inches tall and guests who are wheelchair-bound, or non-ambulatory and unable to enter the water.
If you are just planning to enjoy a few rides, you can use “Wally Points” on a Wally card for ride admission. A Wally card is a card that guests use to get on rides or play games. One Wally point equals one dollar.
Those riding with a Combo Pass or Ride-A-Rama wristband do not require Wally Points for ride admission.
Passes for rides at both Waldameer and Water World together will cost $52 for anyone over 4 feet 8 inches tall. Anyone under 4-foot-8, and over the age of 60, can get a ride combo pass for the amusement and water parks for $40.
If you plan on coming to the park after 5 p.m. you can get ride passes for the amusement park and water park for $36 for anyone over 4-8 for $36. Anyone under that height or over the age of 60 can get ride passes for $28.
For those who are looking to only ride the rides at the amusement park, ride passes for the day are $38.50 for individuals over the height of 4-8. For individuals under that height or over the age of 60, a ride pass will cost $27.
If you are looking to ride the rides after 5 p.m., a ride pass will cost you $28, or $20 for those under 4-8 or over the age of 60.
Those who want to just to enjoy the water park slides for the day will pay $36, or $28.50 for those under 4-8 or over 60 years old.
Buying a 2024 Waldameer season pass
Season passes cost $135 for anyone 4-8 and over in height, or $109 for individuals under 4-8 or over the age of 60.

For anyone who purchases a season pass for the 2024 season, Waldameer will be hosting photo days on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
