How to Unlock Eiyuden Chronicle Fast Travel With Carrie
It takes quite a while to unlock Eiyuden Chronicle fast travel around the world and in your castle, so here’s how to recruit Carrie and upgrade your town to make your life easier. Be forewarned that it takes a while!
How do I unlock fast travel around my castle in Eiyuden Chronicle?
After you leave Eltisweiss and Nowa gets his castle, you’ll notice all sorts of stone slabs around at major locations. (I think they’re sort of the same shape as Viki’s mirrors in the Suikoden series.) These are going to be your in-town fast travel points in Eiyuden Chronicle!
Fortunately, you can unlock them fairly quickly. They are tied to the level 2 town development upgrade at the Drafting Studio. That requires you to have at least 26 allies, 100 pieces of food, and 6,400 in Headquarters Funds. All of that is pretty manageable, especially if you got some of the more difficult to find allies between starting the game and getting access to your castle like Iugo, Mellore, and Yume.
Once you do unlock that, approach any of the glowing tablets you find around your castle and town. Here’s how it will look:
Press the confirm button, and it will come up with a list of places you can teleport to instantly. I managed to finish this before heading to the Treefolk village.
How do I unlock fast travel around the world and recruit Carrie in Eiyuden Chronicle?
You need to wait a bit longer to unlock proper fast travel around the world in Eiyuden Chronicle, because you won’t meet Carrie until you reach the Euchrisse city of Hishahn. Once you do get there, you need to travel around the town in a specific order in order to trigger encounters with the mage. I did this before going to the inn or palace.
Here’s a map showing the spots I visited in order to trigger Carrie’s appearances:
And here are some screenshots of her at each of those three moments, to help provide further context to where you should be to meet her.
After the third meeting, she forces herself into your army.
Now, the good news is you don’t have to have Carrie around all the time if you don’t want her taking up a spot in your party. When she joins, she also gives you a ring that is a key item. This also allows you to open the map screen and teleport to any location at any time.
Once you do that, you can press the button that opens up the map any time you aren’t in a dungeon to fast travel in Eiyuden Chronicle, thanks to Carrie and her ring. Note that you do need to tab over to the World screen, so you can select the town or dungeon you want to go to from the list.
Is Carrie good in Eiyuden Chronicle?
Honestly? Yeah! She’s a pretty good mage! Fast travel in and of itself is a godsend in this game. But I ended up adding her to my crew right away for other reasons too. She’s at level 30 when she joins, which is helpful. She also knows the Moonlight Heal healing spell, which is handy as the only dedicated healer you recruit before her is Francesca. (Francesca is better for that purpose, however.) Her magic stat is also higher than Mellore’s at level 30.
Carrie also has some pretty great skills she can use in-battle. She can use Get Lost for 3 SP to teleport away enemies. She can also deal damage with Take That for 1 SP. Her Sacred Shield spell, which costs 65 MP, is fantastic since it nullifies damage once.
I recommend using her!
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
