Two job fairs are set to take place Thursday in central Indiana with hundreds of job openings available. Disabled American Veterans and RecruitMilitary are hosting the Indianapolis Veterans Job Fair, while the new Fishers Event Center is holding a hiring event to recruit venue staff.

The Indianapolis Veterans Job Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. It is free to veterans, their spouses, active-duty military personnel and members of the National Guard and Reserve.

More than 60 employers will be on hand, including Eli Lilly and Co., SpartanNash, Cummins, Johnson Controls, and John Deere.

Attendees will also have the chance to utilize career counseling and resume assistance services provided on-site.

The Fishers Event Center is hosting its career fair from 9 a.m. to Noon at Launch Fishers, located at 12175 Visionary Way. Interviews will be conducted on-site from 10 to 11 a.m.

The venue, which is slated to open in November, is looking to fill a variety of positions, including ticket sellers, guest services coordinators, ice crew, zamboni drivers, and operations crew. Additionally, Andy Frain Services will be hiring for event security, building security and event guest services positions.

Job seekers are being encouraged to register for the career fair ahead of time.
