Huzzah! Colorado Renaissance Festival returns this weekend: Here’s what to know

Take a step back in time at the Colorado Renaissance Festival this summer.

Knights, kings, queens and everything in between will return to Larkspur starting this Saturday for eight weekends filled with jousting, knighting ceremonies and much more.

The annual festival features a wide range of entertainment for attendees of all ages to enjoy like comedy shows, musical acts and interactive activities.

Here’s what to know about this year’s festival:

Ticket prices 

Tickets for the fesctival can be bought online, at the box office or at King Soopers.

Box Office

$28 Adult, $12 children ages 5-12

Online e-tix

$26.50 Adult,  $11 children ages 5-12 (purchase here)

King Soopers

$25 Adult, $11 children ages 5-12

Children under 5 are free.


Parking & Getting There

From Colorado Springs:

Head north on I-25, take Exit 172, then turn left onto Upper Lake Gulch Rd. From there you will take another left onto Spruce Mountain Rd. Next, take a right to East Perry Park Ave., and you will arrive at the festival grounds. 

From Denver:

Go south on I-25 to Spruce Mountain Rd. in Douglas County, then take Exit 173 toward Larkspur. Turn right onto East Perry Park Ave., and will arrive at the festival grounds. 

Parking for the festival is free and once you arrive at the location, attendants will direct you to an available lot.

The Ren Faire will also offer modern-day festival fare, in addition to some medieval-inspired food. Here are some options you can expect to see this year:

Food and snacks 

Turkey legs, steak on a stick, lasagna, meatball pie, chicken teriyaki croissant, fish and chips, gyros, crab cakes, mac & cheese on a stick, portobello mushroom sandwich, pizza, corn dogs

Drinks

Fruit smoothies, lemonade, orange slush, soda, juices, fine wines, Coors, Heineken, cider, mead, teas, coffee, margaritas, piña coladas 

Sweet Treats 

Cheesecake on a stick, shaved ice, root beer float, caramel apples, chocolate covered strawberries, fudge, fried ice cream, banana crepe, Death by Chocolate cake, cinnamon roasted nuts, funnel cakes

Looking for a new cape or perhaps looking to have your hair braided? At the Renaissance Festival, attendees can browse through a multitude of shops, as well as have services provided.
