I Binged the Entirety of This Korean Series in a Week—Here’s Why It’s a Must-See

Fun fact: I’ve developed a newfound interest in K-dramas, all thanks to Netflix’s Business Proposal.

Interestingly enough, it wasn’t recommended to me by a friend. I stumbled upon the series while aimlessly browsing through Netflix for my next binge, and as I caught a glimpse of the preview, my interest was immediately piqued. Perhaps it was the combination of a vibrant color palate and an attractive cast, or maybe it was because I’d been craving a lighthearted rom-com, but I decided to give it a shot. And guys, it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

In case you’ve yet to watch this gem, the rom-com revolves around Shin Ha-ri (Kim Se-jeong), a talented food researcher who tries to help her best friend out by going on a blind date to scare off another suitor. She gets quite the surprise, however, when Kang Tae-moo (Ahn Hyo-seop), the CEO of the company where she works, shows up as her date. Meanwhile, Shin Ha-ri’s BFF, Jin Young-seo, strikes up an unlikely romance with someone close to Kang Tae-moo.

To be honest, I didn’t expect to love the show this much. At best, I expected a cheesy romance that didn’t offer much depth, but boy, was I wrong. It’s got comedy, drama, suspense and all the works. Keep reading to see why you should give the show a try.
