I spent $5,700 to fly in British Airways’ business-class suites. I’ve never had so much privacy on a plane before.

I’ve flown business class with a few airlines, but I recently did so for the first time with British Airways.
I booked a Club Suite in its long-haul business-class cabin, Club World, for my almost-eight-hour flight from Heathrow in London to Logan International in Boston.
The Club Suite debuted in 2019 as part of the airline’s almost $9 billion investment in upgrading its passenger experience. The suites aren’t on every British Airways flight, though the carrier plans to have them on all of its Heathrow-based long-haul aircraft by the end of 2026.
The business-class suite cost $5,700 — more than double what a seat in economy was going for at the time I booked. Here’s why the upgrade was worth it.
