Is there anything Miss Gu cannot do? Female freeskiing’s dominant force has once again taken her act off the slopes, landing a spot on the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue roster for 2025. Jackson Hole Transforming Old Uniforms Into Wearable Swag.
I love a good upcycle project, especially when it involves retro ski gear. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and ReFleece, a specialist in giving old gear new life, have teamed up to transform tired staff uniforms into sick swag. Bucket hats made from old ski school jackets? Buy a Tahoe License Plate, Get a Free Lift Ticket.
Kind of a cool initiative coming out of the Tahoe region, or at least worth a second look. Powder for Plates is back another year, providing a free lift ticket to anyone who drops in on a Tahoe-themed license plate in California or Nevada. The lift ticket is valid at most of the Tahoe resorts. An initial plate sign-up fee of $50 and a $ 40-a-year renewal measures up pretty well against a $ 260-a-day lift ticket at Palisades at Tahoe. Just sayin’.
