Ideal travel conditions for Heartland next 3 days, light snow likely Saturday

We may have to wait just a little bit longer for our first accumulating snow of the season.

The latest on Wednesday’s weather maker points to all the precipitation being rain and much of the Heartland will stay dry.

Rainfall amounts from that event will be less than 0.1″.

Quiet weather returns for the Thanksgiving holiday and Friday, but we are looking at seeing a quick moving clipper system on Saturday.

Temperatures by that point will be below freezing allowing any precipitation to be in the form of snow.

Data suggests snowfall accumulations less than 2″ are likely for the Heartland.

Saturday’s weather maker is likely to exit the Heartland by the evening hours.

Sunday and into next week looks to be dry with below-normal temperatures continuing to dominate the forecast.
