If Next Animal Crossing Does Have a Shopping Mall, One Feature is Essential

Animal Crossing rumors have been one of the biggest talking points in gaming as of late, and if these rumors are true, then a shopping mall may be on its way to the franchise. Since its beginnings, Animal Crossing has provided players with great activities to pass the time, and the addition of a shopping mall just seems like a natural progression for the series.

Shops have played a constant role in the Animal Crossing games, and going bigger with this concept makes a lot of sense. However, if the next Animal Crossing wants to take this concept to its fullest potential, then the franchise’s embrace of customization should apply to shopping malls as well.

This year, new rumors about Animal Crossing and what features are to be expected started circulating after a leaker claimed that big changes were headed to the series. From a city dedicated solely to multiplayer interactions to an emphasis on mini-games, there was a lot of content being promised in these leaks. However, one of the most interesting rumors revolves around a possible shopping mall being added.

A Shopping Mall Built For Every Player

Animal Crossing is known for its customization features. Creating one’s own island just the way they wish is one of the biggest draws of Animal Crossing, and it would be a great game mechanic to apply to a shopping mall. With each player having their own unique personality, it only makes sense that the mall reflects this. Not everyone has the same vision for the perfect mall, so getting to customize the location as each player prefers would be a great way for the Animal Crossing community to find another fun in-game pastime.

It would probably prove too difficult to customize the interiors of the shops, but the shop exteriors and overall aesthetic of the mall should be free for players to decorate as they please. There are a lot of incredibly creative Animal Crossing fans, and it would be exciting to see all the awesome malls players have managed to create.

Animal Crossing’s Rumored New Features

The future of Animal Crossing may be uncertain at the moment, but time will eventually reveal if these rumors are true or not. There’s no telling what will be next for Animal Crossing, but a shopping mall would be the perfect way to improve how players shop in the game. Of course, there can still be small stores, like Able Sisters, but when it comes to the rumored multiplayer city, a sprawling mall could revolutionize how shopping is done in Animal Crossing.

Thanks to these rumors, there are some high hopes for the next Animal Crossing, and Nintendo will hopefully be able to meet them whenever the company reveals the next entry. As hopes persist for updates on a new Animal Crossing game, some will now expect that a fun new shopping mall is also waiting on the horizon. If a new Animal Crossing launches for the rumored Switch 2 like some are speculating, Nintendo will want to move the franchise forward in a big way, and hopefully, a customizable mall is included in that evolution.
