Illinois football will play without leading rusher vs Purdue

Illinois running back Kaden Feagin will not play Saturday in the Fighting Illini football game against Purdue at Memorial Stadium in Champaign.

Feagin was listed as “out” on the Big Ten Conference availability report. The reason is unspecified.

Feagin leads Illinois with 306 yards and three touchdowns. Josh McCray and Aiden Laughery should see more work against the Boilermakers, which is fourth worst in the nation in rushing yards allowed per game (239.2).
