I’m an Amazon-Obsessed Shopping Editor, and These Are the 8 Under-50 Items I’m Grabbing

It’s true, I am a shopping editor, and yet, I don’t usually go on extravagant sprees at the mall (or online). A big part of it is the way I was raised, and growing up understanding the value of a dollar. But every so often, I like to treat myself with items I just want, especially if they’re at an affordable price—and these Amazon finds have been on my radar as of late. 

I’m already planning ahead for summer, which means stocking up on picks I love as well as shopping things I need for an upgrade. And as Real Simple’s Amazon shopping expert, you can say I’m always in the know about the best finds around. There are several home, fashion, and beauty items I’ve been eyeing, including finds from Gap, Megababe, Grace Karin, and Madewell, just to name a few. And everything on my list is under $50.

Megababe Thigh Rescue Anti-Friction Stick

For years, deodorant was my solution to prevent thigh chafing when wearing shorts, skirts, and dresses. I’ll admit, it helped, but I didn’t know what I was missing until I tried the Megababe Thigh Rescue chafe stick. I discovered this product in 2019 and have been using it ever since—and I’m currently in need of restock. Made with moisturizing aloe, Vitamin E, and grapeseed and pomegranate oils, the Megababe stick glides smoothly on the inside of my legs, preventing friction with every step. It lasts for hours and smells so good, I’m tempted to rub it all over.

No matter what season it is, you can find me throwing on a simple white T-shirt. I have this exact $17 Gap ForeverSoft T-Shirt and wear it constantly. The only problem? Tucking it into jeans sometimes creates little holes, so I’m adding this pick to my cart. It has a conservative crew neckline, short sleeves, and a mid-rise hem that I style as a front tuck or a knot. Plus, it’s made with cotton, giving me that soft, yet breathable factor I need in the spring and summer. It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream Anti-Aging Hydrating Moisturizer

My skincare regimen is generally the same five products, with the exception of a few items that pique my interest. It Cosmetics’ Confidence in a Cream moisturizer is one of those finds. I recently picked up the Confidence in a Cream eye cream, and after two days, the fine lines and dark pigment under my eyes subsided drastically. It made me curious about its facial moisturizer counterpart which is formulated with hydrating squalane, anti-aging niacinamide, and smoothing peptide-lipid complex for younger-looking skin. And the smallest size is just $23!
