Impact 100 Gulf Coast Breaks World Record
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – On Tuesday, November 12, Impact 100 Gulf Coast Celebrated a historic milestone as it became the world’s largest first-year chapter.
The celebration was held at the Holley Center on Florida State University Panama City campus.
During the “Big Reveal” event, organizers announced a landmark achievement. In just one year, this women-led philanthropic group has amassed 307 members, making it the world’s largest first-year chapter in Impact 100’s global network history.
Organizers say getting to host this historic event nearly brought tears to their eyes.
“It gets me a little emotional to think about what it means to be here,” said Olivia Sanchez, one of the founding board members for Impact 100 Gulf Coast. “It only took seven months and we have broken a national record for the amount of members that we have. So being in this room just makes it very surreal and it is exciting because I know this is a direct impact for our community and the women who got together to do this. But it’s going to mean even more when we give back to our community.”
Impact 100 Gulf Coast unites women from all backgrounds to make transformational grants to local nonprofits, amplifying their ability to address community needs and drive sustainable change. Organizers credit this historic growth to the region’s deep commitment to strengthening community bonds and fostering positive change.
In its short time, members have accumulated significant resources to invest in initiatives that will benefit the Gulf Coast area for years to come.
Impact 100 Gulf Coast is a philanthropic nonprofit founded to harness the power of collective giving by women. Part of the global Impact 100 network, the chapter’s mission is to fund transformational $100,000 grants that address critical community needs.
Through collective contributions and engaged membership, Impact 100 Gulf Coast is committed to making a meaningful impact on the local community by supporting organizations that align with its values and vision for a thriving future.
