In Deauville, Virginie Viard’s Swansong Fall Collection for Chanel Comes to Glorious Life

Before Virginie Viard bowed out of Chanel, her enchanting fall 2024 show, presented at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, took guests on a spiritual journey to Deauville, the resort town in Normandy where Coco Chanel once ran a boutique.

Vogue’s Tonne Goodman and photographer Malick Bodian went directly to the source to shoot the collection, capturing models Lulu Tenney and Angelina Kendall on Deauville’s shimmering seashore in clothes both coolly classic and utterly fantastic.
